Doyle Dennis Avery LLP Files Wrongful Termination Lawsuit Against OneHome

Doyle Dennis Avery LLP recently filed suit against One TPA Systems Inc. d/b/a OneHome (“OneHome”). The lawsuit alleges that Doyle Dennis Avery LLP’s client reported that OneHome fired her for reporting OneHome’s alleged gross mismanagement of funds, among other protected activities. OneHome also allegedly submitted false claims for funds to the federal government. The firm’s client reported OneHomee’s alleged activity.
The lawsuit alleges that Doyle Dennis Avery’s client reported what she believed was mismanagement of a Medicare contract. Throughout 2022, the client allegedly witnessed and reported several occasions of OneHome and its employees’ alleged mismanagement of Federal funds, abuse of authority, and being a substantial danger to public health or safety. OneHome’s alleged illegal practices included contracting low-quality providers and terminating providers who asked too many questions, falsifying Organization Determinations, Appeals and Grievances (“ODAG”) reports, and providing false ODAG reports to CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services). According to the lawsuit, OneHome allegedly submitted false documents to CMS. The lawsuit states that Doyle Dennis Avery LLP’s client reported OneHome’s alleged activity to the inspector general and OneHome’s management officials, and Humana. Shortly after, Doyle Dennis Avery LLP’s client was terminated by OneHome – allegedly, for making these protected reports.
